COVID-19 (Coronavirus) advice

Please read the following information before you register to sit the test at a test centre:

COVID-19 Safe procedures at test centres

COVID-19 is still declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation.

ACER will take precautionary measures within its reasonable control as recommended by public health authorities in Australia in respect of its test venues. It is each individual candidate’s responsibility to familiarise themselves with and follow any precautionary measures recommended by public health authorities in a candidate’s state or territory.

Where consistent with public health authority orders or precautionary measures in candidates’ locations, ACER recommends candidates:

  • not to attend their test session if they:
    • have been tested as COVID-19 positive.
    • are awaiting results of the COVID-19 test.
    • are not feeling well or have any COVID-19 symptoms.
    • live with or have been advised to be a close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case.

    Please follow the relevant advice from the health authority in your state/territory.

  • wear a face mask if it is required by the relevant state/territory government while travelling to or attending your test session;
  • always adhere to the instructions of staff at the test centres and test supervisors. Failure to do so will be considered as misconduct;
  • follow all the COVID-19 safety measures and health advice at the test centres; and
  • be always COVID-safe and practise good personal hygiene.

Note:

Candidates who have registered to sit the test at a test centre that is located in a different state or territory must also familiarise themselves with and follow any precautionary measures recommended by public health authorities in that state or territory.
